These days we are enjoying in Xaudaró the course on Leadership, which has been attended by thirty students from all the Marist provinces. Since Monday 23rd we have been sharing in the classroom exercises and challenges to improve our leadership function.
Above all we have focused on the qualities that a Marist leader should or must have. What should this person be like who is in charge, what skills are essential and what attitudes should he or she have.
For all this we have been working with Román Álvarez with such dynamic resources as the LEGO branding game, and we have also made use of our originality to advance in the agenda.
José Antonio Rosa has also been in charge of continuing with the program related to Coexistence and Conflict Management. In this part of the course the students have been able to develop their skills in the face of adversities and challenges that may arise in any leadership role.
In the middle of the course, Eva Matarranz, in charge of the educational community as an area of participation, was present. In this part of the training we were also joined by Beto Rojas.
In addition, the students were able to enjoy a visit to the San José del Parque school in Madrid, where they made an online connection with the project ‘Stand up, speak out and act’ with students from Brazil, Bolivia and Mexico. This was followed by an interesting session on educational marketing. But, undoubtedly, the best part of the visit for students and teachers was the warm welcome that made the meeting so familiar and positive.
We never stop growing in the training, not only academically or professionally, but personally and from the heart.
To conclude this second week in person, there will also be presentations by Javier Poveda, Eladio Díez and Raul Garcia, who will be responsible for addressing ‘Other sources of funding’, ‘Spirituality and interiority’ and ‘Children’s rights’.
All this will close tomorrow five days of coexistence and shared experiences that add value and team building.
