The International Meeting of the Marist Global Network of Schools, organized by the Secretariat of Mission and Evangelization, included the inauguration of activities, as well as multiple events and joint activities that showed the integration and the sense of Marist life of all the participants.
During one week, the meeting took place in Mexico City, from November 28 to December 6, 2022, the participants were able to address different topics. With the joy of sharing Marist life in person, topics of interest such as: networks, Champagnat Global, schools and experiences in these schools were discussed.
One of the purposes of this meeting was to be relevant today thanks to innovation, but above all it was questioned to do it for the commitment today, “let us connect in order to be more significant”. In the context of the network of schools, for example, he emphasized collaborative work as a response to needs, building foundations that lead to change.
But above all, these days have been marked by the ability to strengthen ties in our community, working together and the shared joy that brings us closer to our goals. In this line, one of the richest days in the development of the Meeting, (animated by Brothers Carlos Alberto Rojas and Mark Omede and the Project Director, Javier Llamas of the Secretariat of Mission and Evangelization), was the event dedicated to the Schools, because important moments of exposure, exchange and understanding were generated between the different realities that our global community lives.
Likewise, on the day dedicated to Global Champagnat, the strengths of the work and the present and future projects were expressed in words such as: identity, diversity, organizational structure, internationality, commitment, infrastructure. The most important opportunities were: sharing resources, formation, exchange and connection.
Each of the days and experiences of this meeting highlighted all the good things that unite us and that await us.
