The week of March 2 to 6 we continue with the formation course "Marist identity and deepening" in the monastery of Santa María de Bellpuig de las Avellanas.
I am one of the privileged ones who is doing this course organized by the CME.
As I said, this week we had to do it in this beautiful monastery. In 1910 a community of Marist Brothers was installed in Bellpuig and was in charge of restoring the building. For a time, the monastery was where novice Marist Brothers received training. Currently, there is a community of brothers living in it. They have treated us wonderfully, we have eaten very well in the dining room of the community with a few brothers of that community.
This week has been a great experience. We all arrived on Sunday 1st March in the afternoon. Of course, there was Br. Andreu and Ángel Prieto to receive us all. It was a pleasure and a joy to see this group of companions again, and of course our angels, who take care of us and pamper us like few others.
On Monday 2 we began with Br. Lluís Serra, Marist Identity and ended at night with a prayer outside the monastery.
On Tuesday 3, we continue with Llorenç Muñoz. "To be an educator today. Re-illusion with the vocation of educator". Very well. It was very enjoyable.
On Wednesday 4th we were taken to Barcelona. First of all we went to visit a social work: "La Llar" of Igualada. We were all shocked by the explanation. Kids without a family or with a broken family who live and study in that home. We also visited the "Gabella Association, the Gothic Quarter ... and to end a dinner all together.
On Thursday 5 came Pedro José Gómez, Being an educator: Society and youth today. Analysis and challenges: What a wonder of a man. As he explains.
Finally the last day arrived with Marist catechesis: Mary through the images of the monastery by Br. Pere Borrás.
After eating we all left for our destinations, wanting to see our own but with the sadness of leaving this group so human.
Now I want to thank all the speakers, my classmates for the laughter, complicity, companionship, the good atmosphere we have had during these days and especially our angels Bro. Andreu and Angel Prieto. Attentive people, accomplices and above all for being the pillar of the group. Without them it surely would not have been the same.
