To speak of vocation is to speak of meaning, of passion, of journey, of happiness, of future! As Marists, as educators, can we not help them to walk this path of fullness to which God invites us?
That is why the Youth and Vocation Ministry Team created the Compostela Vocation Animation Plan. Not to have another document on our shelves, but to give a new impetus to vocation animation in the Province and so it has been presented throughout this year and it is linked to the recently launched International Year of Marist Vocations.
In this sense, all the educators of the Marist Compostela Province learned of this initiative through a letter from Champagnat in which, among other things, it was pointed out:
“The world has changed a lot in these 200 years, but I am convinced that the theme of vocation continues to be a key point. God never stops inviting us to wonderful things, far beyond what we can imagine. If we are able to listen to his voice and help others to do so, we can transform the world.”
We truly believe that there is much we can offer in this area and we want to do it together. The plan is a starting point, not a finishing point. It lays some foundations, but what it wants is to generate a dynamism of creativity and research so that new initiatives can be born and those that already exist can be strengthened.
