Summer is a time for different activities and, in many cases, for giving time to others without expecting anything in return. This year, after the pandemic and the restrictions, in the province of L’Hermitage we wanted to put in place a provincial protocol of volunteering with the intention of promoting provincial volunteering at the local and international level.
For some years now, people linked to the Marist institution have been volunteering in other European countries of the province of L’Hermitage (France, Catalonia, Greece, Hungary). After these experiences, always positive, we wanted to promote, and at the same time systematize, international volunteering with this protocol.
The objective is to encourage more people to participate in volunteer actions and to ensure that this experience is as beneficial as possible for everyone. We want these experiences to be accessible to the majority of people linked to the Marist institution, young people, teachers, parents? Experience tells us that only a very marked and coordinated process can guarantee an excellent experience for the volunteer, that is why we believe that the clear guidelines provided by the protocol are important.
We encourage any Marist of the province (young and not so young, student or educator, lay-brother, father-mother…) to look for the most suitable volunteer action for him or her where he or she can contribute his or her grain of sand to make this world a better place in a Marist work.
If you want to be a volunteer in the Province or simply want to have more information send an email to email@example.com.
