The second week of formation of pastoral leaders that took place in Córdoba from February 20 to 24, 2020 was really gratifying, at the same time that it gave us a change of perspective in the approach to pastoral care. After the first week of training in Valladolid, circumscribed to a necessary and instructive theoretical framework, in Córdoba we have made the leap – so necessary and useful – to the experiential reality.
This time the Provincial Team of Mediterranean Pastoral has been in charge of giving us a formation of exquisite quality, and not only for theme but also for humanity.
The personal experiences of the formators, with the high richness in their messages, have made it possible to create the necessary basis on which we have worked throughout the week. Dealing with aspects such as the evangelizing process, the care of spaces, moments of interiority, the application of ICT or teamwork, have been the raw material that we have been "kneading" to strengthen and motivate us to be "good yeast" in our schools.
Continuing with tradition, on Wednesday afternoon we visited Cordoba with Mr. Antonio, with whom, according to his detailed explanations, we learned the history of the city and its charismatic cathedral-mosque. After meandering through the narrow streets of the old quarter, we close the day as it could not be otherwise: dining well and in good company.
The serene reflection and exchange of experiences among the attendees carried out in this second week of training has put the icing on the cake. There is no doubt that we left Cordoba with a fuller suitcase than when we arrived.
See you soon in the Hazelnuts!!!
Thanks for everything!
