With Champagnat and the first Brothers, and with the great Marist family rich in faces and stories, we learn to see the world through the eyes of ‘the little ones’ in more than 80 countries, with a diversity of presences as educators animating educational dreams to grow and transform the local reality. More than two hundred years of life and stories, of faces and dreams! We Marists of Champagnat are celebrating!
Each presence gathers beautiful stories and the stories of names that add to this permanent dream of growing, accompanying, creating a world of possibilities, sharing life and faith (with its different expressions and languages).
To be a MARIST is synonymous with living our vocation fully and passionately, in the style of Mary, from closeness and fraternal presence; committed and in deep communion with young people and their rights.
As Marists, we continue to commit ourselves to educate from presence, from simplicity, with the heart of a ‘brother’.
This Marist story that so many of us could narrate speaks of global availability (international, intercultural, inter-cultural, inter-? ), of education (with great richness and creativity of itineraries to learn to live and to be committed citizens), of significant presence (full of generous and close times), of simplicity (as we are, without artificial appearances), of fraternity, of Marian reference (as the great inspirer, a woman of her time, a sister in faith, an unconditional mother, a woman of her time), sister in faith, unconditional mother), of communion (around the table of life, bread and word), of a special affection for children and youth (with them we learn to look at the world in a latent way and with them we commit ourselves to the defense and promotion of their rights), of transformation (social, personal, communitarian? ) and of faith (in life, in people, in the Rights that we share and dignify us, in the God-Encounter, in the community that gathers-shares-celebrates).
More than two hundred years of stories that make possible new stories in new lands and presences towards the land of encounter, in dialogue and in movement!
Happy celebration full of plenitude, of dreams, of encounters, of gratitude, of challenges. It is a time to live…!
“Something new is springing up, do you not notice it?” (Is 43:19).
